In short: carefree co-housing in the center of Leuven, with all costs covered by the managers through commissions, as well as the search for new tenants. This is not a "student house" but rather a young professional environment.
Detailed description of the house: This beautiful Art Deco house was designed and built in 1950 by Victor Broos, a renowned Leuven architect, for private residence. This mansion was fully renovated in 2022 to modern standards without sacrificing its character. Numerous original features were preserved. Among them, the stained-glass doors in the entrance and living room, the beautiful cloakroom with its original hangings, and the stately staircase reflect the grandeur of this mansion.
The unique floor plan and surprising size of this house (404m² living space) lend themselves perfectly to co-housing. The following communal areas are available:
• a furnished 31m² living room including a sofa corner with a television and streaming accounts; a dining area with a large table, sofa, and chairs; and a large window overlooking the garden;
• a furnished 20m² kitchen with a kitchen island and all the usual appliances (2 induction hobs, 2 ovens, 3 microwaves, etc.) and at least one refrigerator and freezer compartment for each room;
• a furnished 10m² laundry room with two washing machines, one dryer, a drying rack, and storage cupboards;
• a 46m² garden with several trees, equipped with a garden table and chairs;
• bicycle storage in the house itself;
• a garage door with space for one car in front and one car in front.
In addition to these communal areas, the co-housing includes 10 bedrooms, 6 with en-suite bathrooms and 4 that share a bathroom. All rooms are furnished with a double bed (box spring), desk, sofa, and wardrobe. The living areas of these rooms range from 16 to 40m², and the rent ranges from €580 to €805/month.
Fixed costs are settled annually, with a monthly provision of €125 (€187.50 for two people). Energy costs are minimized by the well-insulated house (EPC B) and the use of a smart heating system.
As this is a co-housing arrangement, we are looking for tenants who want to stay for at least one year.
Personal space
The room is located on the street side of the house and has several Velux windows, providing plenty of natural light. It is furnished with a wardrobe, a table with seating for six, a three-seater sofa, and a double bed (160x200). This bed is located in a separate sleeping area. The room has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink, and toilet. This room was completely renovated in 2022.
